*Building student power by strengthening and developing emerging State Student Associations (SSA’s) to further the mission of USSA
–creating resource guides for SSA’s with best practices for development
–support the expansion of the SSA Newsletter
–creation of a committee consisting of SSA staff, SSSAC Chair and SSA leadership to enhance communication on USSA decisions and campaigns.
*Strengthen the relationship between members and USSA to ensure investment and effective communication, broadening our organizing capacity, confidence, and decision making power to create even greater change nationally
–strengthen and develop the Leadership Development Task Force (LDTF) model creating USSA liaisons on campuses
–institutionalize and help facilitate regional retreats with Regional Chairs, members, and campus organizers.
*Expanding the organizing tools USSA has to offer, providing more trainings for members and with organizations to develop and foster core leadership on the local and state level
–work with campus organizers to create campus based strategies on campaigns
–work with LDTF model to develop more leaders on campuses
*Invest and engage new campuses or associations to join USSA as members
–expand membership in the Empire, Atlantic, SouthEast and SouthCentral regions
–create USSA local clusters, encouraging 4 yr institution members to invest local community college/state schools in USSA’s work and membership benefitsElections will happen at the 63rd Annual United States Student Associations National Student Congress, held at the University of California, Los Angeles July 15-20th.
